This
58' cat is one of the original Sunchaser powercat
designs. The plans are available again.
Plans are available for both cruising and charter
versions. The SC58 hulls give great fuel economy.
They are very easily driven. The rounded
hull sections and narrow waterplane allow a
very comfortable ride. Top speed will
be around 25 knots. Compare the bridge-deck
clearance to its competitors. The laminate
design is still years ahead of the usual designs
out there now. The interior pictures are from
the USCG certified sailing versions.
It
can be USCG certified for 49 passengers.
Molds may be available to speed up the construction
process.
