This
85' passenger ferry catamaran design is designed to
carry 149 passengers. The Hysu foils lift the
vessel significantly up out of the water to reduce
drag. 1400 hp per side gives 42 knots speed
if the cat is built as designed. Propulsion
is provided by Hamilton waterjets. Construction
is foam/glass.
A variation on my design operates to Catalina Island
now.
This catamaran design takes fullest advantage of
platen flat panel construction with a vacuum bagging
table. The house is assembled from flat panels,
like a tilt-up building. There is no faster
way construct composite cats, this side of having
