This
simple sliding tube system lets
the overall beam of a catamaran
be reduced greatly. It is based
on the sliding tube system used
on trimarans since the Trikala
19, but with an extra twist. After
the hulls slide together, one
long tube in each pair is taken
out and replaced with a short
tube. At this time it looks promising
but is yet untried.
