Hughes Visits MC Tec

Immediate Release:
In March and April ’05, the multihull designer, Kurt
Hughes was the guest of Mediterranean Composites Technology
to assist with the completion of the MC Tec 48 daycharter
catamaran, and the design of the new MC TEC 48 fast
cruising catamaran.
MC TEC has opened a new multihull construction factory
in El Haouaria, Tunisia. The principals, Christian
Paulitsch and Fredrick Meunier were previously involved
with Wallyyacht when that company was building in
Tunisia.
Four of the 48s have been slotted with options on
another. Two are cruising models, while the other
two are fast cruising versions.
MC TEC is also expected to begin construction on a
line of new KHSD 65 daycharter catamarans.
The combination of composite experience, modern equipment,
and cost efficiencies will allow them to offer KHSD
multihulls at very competitive prices.
